BIOGRAPHY
William H. Fitzsimmons
William H. Fitzsimmons was born on October 8, 1926 to Ella and Edward Fitzsimmons.William lived on
43 Locust Ave
in the small town of Rye, New York with his parents, sisters Ella and Jean and his brother
Edward
. All Family members were born in New York and parishioners of The Church of the Resurrection.
William was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1944. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
In june 1951, William graduated with honors from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. A certified public accountant he was employed by Gulf Oil.
He moved to Houston in the mid 1970's, after living in Philadelphia. William and Joan Manning were married in January 1986.
William H. Fitzsimmons of Houston, who grew up in Rye, died Friday, October 17, 1997, at Columbia Spring Branch Hospital in Houston. He was 71.
At the time of his death, In addition to his wife of Houston, William was survived by two stepsons, Ed Kilgore of Washington, D.C., and Richard Kilgore of Atlanta; and a sister, Jean Hitchcock of Cairo, N.Y.
