BIOGRAPHY
Thomas Q. Werner
Thomas Q. Werner was born in Rye on Nov 13 1905 son at Rose Livingston Werner and William Henry Werner. He was a middle child of six, he had four brothers Jacob, William,
Robert
and
Livingston
along with his sister Helen.
In Rye his family lived at
45 Grace Church St
and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Thomas attended Resurrection School, Rye High School and Iona Preparatory School.
Thomas enlisted April 1, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged Septeber 28, 1945.
He was a retired machinist who worked lor 25 years for the Electrolux Corp in Old Greenwich. A parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection in Rye he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Greenwich and the American Legion Post in White River Junction, VT.
Thomas Quigley Werner 72 died in his apartment at 71 Soundview Drive Greenwich, Jan 2 1973
At the time of his death he was survived by his mother a sister Mrs. Bernard (Helen) Schneider of Chappaqua and three brothers, Jacob, Livingston and Robert all of Rye.
