Thomas J. Kavanaugh
Thomas John Kavanaugh was born on August 7, 1920, in Port Chester, New York, his father, Bernard, was 35 and his mother, Sarah, was 34. He had one brother
Bernard J.
. Thomas had two sons with Dorothy Rander between 1942 and 1950. He died on August 20, 1981, in his hometown at the age of 61. In Rye his family lived at
290 Grace Church St.
. His father had been employed as a chauffeur on the eitate of Mrs William Peet of Grace Church Street for 49 years. Thomas was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1940.
He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Thomas was a military police sergeant at the 1671st Service Co stationed ta the Philippines.
Thomu J Kavanaugh Sr a lifelong Port Chester resident died Thunday at Greenwich Hospital after a long Illness He was 61 and lived at 11 Monroe Place Son of Bernard and Sarah (McNamara) Kavanaugh he was born in Port Chester on Aug 7 1920 He was a graduate of Rye High School. During World War II Mr Kavanaugh was a military police sergeant ta the 1671st Service Co stationed ta the Philippines He received the Good Conduct MedaL He worked' for Arnold Bakeries Co in Greenwich from 1945 until becoming ill in 1976. He was survived by his wife Dorothy Rander Kavanaugh of the home address two sons Thomas Jr of Port Chester and James Kavanaugh of Greenwich a daughter Mrs Anthony (Nancy) Ballasted of Hawthorne a brother Bernard Kavanaugh of Greenwich and three grandchildren
