Sanford Eldredge Jr.

Sanford Eldredge Jr. was born on August 17, 1926, in Rye, New York, to Hellen Jarvis, age 30, and Sanford Eldredge, age 34. He had three sisters Pamela, Margaret and Helen In Rye his family lived at 3 Pine Lane.

Sanford left Rye High School his junior year and graduated in June 1944 from the Admiral Billtard Naval Acadamy In New London, Conn..

Sanford enlisted August 12, 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was rated RM3 and honorably discharged July 23,1946. (See Muster Rolls)

After the war he attended Amherst College. Sanford was of the Catholic faith and a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Sanford Eldredge, age 76, of Tampa passed away at his residence Friday, September 27, 2002.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his sons, Charles S. Eldredge and Sanford L. Eldredge of Inverness, Fla.; daughters, Kimberly and her husband Richard Oliver, Christine and her husband Joe Meyers of Margate, Fla., and Carol Grolletto of Hewitt, N.J.; sister, HelenDonohue of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services were held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida.
