Ronald W. Craik

Ronald Walsh Craik was born on February 18, 1923, in Seattle, Washington, to Sarah Ethel Welsh, age 33, and Gerald Laurence Craik, age 26. He had on sister Elizabeth and one brother Paul. In Rye his family lived at 9 Charlotte Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Ronald was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1941. He was a member of the National Honor Society and had many other activities at school. He was working in NYC before the war for the Royal Assurance Co.

Ronald served as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

After the war he married Bette Lee Cornett on November 17, 1956, in Maricopa, Arizona. He spent many years working in AZ as an architect. He was well known for his design of high rise buildings and luxury apartments. Ronald designed his own home around existing olive trees and found enjoyment in imaginative house treatment and in unusual foods.

Ronald Walsh Craik died on July 24, 2008, in Phoenix, Arizona, when he was 85 years old.
