Robert H. Werner was born in New York iJune 2,1919 to Rose Livingston and William H Werner. Robert was the youngest of six, he had four brothers Jacob, William, Livingston and Thomas along with his sister Helen. In Rye his family lived at 45 Grace Church St and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Robert attended Rye public schools and was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1938. In High school he ran track, was on the football team, active in student govenment and acted in school productions.

Robert enlisted in September 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He would rise to the the rank of Major and served in North Africa and Italy.

After being honorably discharged he returned to Rye and wouls marry Marguerite Desimone and they would have one daughter.

Robert was employed as a manger for the Yale and Towne Manufacturing Co. and then by the National Bank of Westchester for many years rising to Vice - President.

He was very active in Rye politics serving on the City Council and as chairman of the Rye Republican Committee.

Robert H. Werner died on December 11, 2011 and is buried at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.
