He was born in Port Chester, N.Y.; and came to this area 1 1 years ago from Nanuet, N.Y. Mr. Peters was a retired vice-president of finance of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in N.Y.; a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; a volunteer at Fawcett Memorial Hospital; a member of the Elks Lodge; a member of the Punta Gorda Country Club; and a retired captain of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Peters of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Patricia Peters of Cliffside Park, N.J.; and Sharon Peters Bet-tridge of Brooklyn; two sons, Norman Peters Jr., of Nanuet, N.Y.; and Owen Peters of Dumont, N.Y.; one brother, Robert Peters of Columbia, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Kays-Ponger Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel was in charge of local arrangements.
