Lawrence D Antinozzi

Lawrence D Antinozzi was born on April 6, 1927 to parents Antonio Antinozzi and Maria Schindo. He was the youngest of eight children (Walter, Rocco, Jean, Lucy, Rose, Anthony, Joseph). His family lived at 214 Central Avenue (street view) and his family were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Lawrence enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the Navy in the Asia South Pacific Theater of Operation.

After the war Lawrence was a career Rye City Police Officer serving 30 years retiring in 1982. He also was co-owner of White Dot Golf Shop for over 50 years. He was also a long time member of the Rye Golf Club, an avid golfer, dancer and loving father.

Lawrence D. Antinozzi Sr. passed away on June 21, 2008

At the time of his death, he was survived by his children: Deborah J. Antinozzi, Lawrence D. Antinozzi Jr. and wife Aleene, police officer Scott Antinozzi and wife Elizabeth, his grandchildren: Larry III, James, Audrey, Brittany, Emily, Caitlin, his great grandchildren James and Jonathan, his sisters Rose Antinozzi and Lucy LaBruciano, his devoted companion Mildred Gregorio and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Anthony, Joseph, Walter, Dorothy Lamp, Rocco, Lee Donovan and Jennie.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Resurrection Church Rye,
