Jonathan L. Lee was born October 26, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to Jonathan and Ruth Darling Lee. In Rye his family lived in Highland Hall.

Jonathan was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1941. Before the war he was working for the Great American Insurance Company in New York City.

He enlisted March 1,1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jonathan was discharged July 19,1943

Soon after the war his family would move back to Pennsylvania.

Jonathan L. Lee died November 2, 2009 in Philadelphia.
