BIOGRAPHY
John Paul Kelley
John Paul Kelley was born on December 15, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Helene D Sieck and Edwin R Kelley. In Rye his family lived at
30 Locust Ave
. and were members of the Presbyterian Church. John was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1943.
He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
John graduated in electrical engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in 1947 and did graduate study at Bucknell and Colgate Universities.
He married Marian Allen Stover on October 17, 1948. The couple would have three children.
In 1966 he moved to Corvallis, OR and was with the X-ray science and engineering laboratory at Oregon State University. He was the radiation safety officer and associate professor of radiological physics. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Corvallis Rotary Club.
John P. Kelley, 56, died Monday November 1, 1982.
At the time of his death, survivors included wife, Marian; sons Edwin W., Corvallis, and John A., Chicago, III.; daughter, Linda A., Corvallis. Private final rites were held at Mt. Crest Abbey, Salem.
