Mr. John Alexander Fitzner, Sr., age 82, died Thursday, May 06, 2004 at the Screven County Hospital.
Mr. Fitzner was born in Westchester County, New York and retired as a Vice President of the Bank of Screven County. He was a member of the Sylvania First Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Barbara Mills Fitzner, Sylvania; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alexander Mills and Cheryl Fitzner of Rome, GA, and John Alexander, Jr. and Deanne Fitzner, Sylvania; one sister, Helen Carol Williamson, Bassett, VA; one brother, William L. Fitzner, St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren, John A. Fitzner, III, Swainsboro, Alexander Mills Fitzner, Jr., Rome, Anna Monroe Fitzner, Rome, Stephen Douglas Fitzner, Sylvania, Andrew Scott Fitzner, Sylvania, and Lecie Helen Fitzner, Sylvania; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Sylvania First Baptist Church. Burial: Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
