BIOGRAPHY
Frank Lusito
Frank Lusita was born on February 2, 1907, in Potensa, Italy to Christina Mangini, age 35, and Constantine Lusita, age 35. In Rye his family lived at
56 Cedar Place.
He had two brother and six sisters and the family were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Frank enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Enlistment Date 1: 16 Apr 1943, Release Date 1: 22 Nov 1945,
Frank Lusito served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served with
the Seabees
and fought and participated in construction efforts in New Guinea and the Philippines.
He married Ida Townsend January 29, 1944 in Poughkeepsie.
After the war, Frank was an employee of the Hudson River Psychiatric Center for 17 years, and was a member of the local VFW Post and the Italian Center in Poughkeepsie.
His obituary was published in the September 18, 1983 Poughkeepsie Journal. Survivors included his wife, two children, two brothers and six sisters.
An employee of the Hudson River Psychiatric Cantor tor 17years retiring in 1971. He was a Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post No. 170. and a member of the Italian Center In Poughkeepsie.
Frank N. Lusito died Saturday September 1, 1983 at St. Francis Hospital in the City of Poughkeepsie.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by a son, Frank Lusito of Poughkeepsie; a daughter. Barbara Uulto of Poughkeepsie; two brother. Nicholas Lusito of Florida and William Lusito of Connecticut; six sisters Clementine VallartUi ot Florida, Theresa Hotoph of Sarville (Suffolk County). Joan CoUlgnosi of Port Chester (Westchester County), Rita Kemp of Connecticut. Ethel Hedrick of Virginia, and Anna Haas of South 'Carolina. Two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
