Francis W. Henefield
Francis W. Henefield was born Jan 22 1924 in Rye, the son of Victor L and Katherine Scanlon Henefleid. He had three brothers

, Joseph and
William
and two sisters Noray and Patricia. He attended Resurrection School in Rye and graduated from Rye High School in 1942 . In Rye his family lived at
12 Palisade Place
and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.
Frank enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper in Worid War II
Frank Henefleld was a past captain of the Ponlngoe Hook and Ladder Co in Rye and a past president of the Rye local of the postal carriers of New York.
He belonged to the Port Chester Old Timers Association and the National Association of Letter Carriers. In addition he was chairman of the William H Balls Memorial Labor Day celebration in Rye and chairman of the Rye Pioneer Club.
Frank William Henefleld a Rye Post Office letter carrier for 29 years died of a heart attack on Friday morning March 4, 1977 at United Hospttal where he had been a patient since Wednesday. He was 53.
He was a lifelong resident of Rye and resided at 100 Theodore Fremd Ave .
At the time of his death he was survived by two sons Frank of Blooming Prairie Minn and Steve of Minneapolis Minn three daughters Joanne Henriekson of Stevens Point WI Miss Maureen Henefleld of Edine Minn and Norene Shave of Watte Park Minn and one brother Joseph A of Rye
