Edward F. Donahue

Edward F. Donahue was born in New York January 30, 1923 to Thomas and Mary Balls Donahue. Thomas lived with his parents and 10 siblings (Mary, Veronica, Margaret, Doris, Eleanor, Thomas, Gloria, William, Vincetta and Daniel) on 37 Elm Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. His father owned this house valued at $10,000 ($1,599,125.75 in today’s money). Thomas’ father worked as a carpenter.

Edward enlisted May 1, 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was honorably discharged April 26,1946

He married Alice Borman and they would have three children.

Edward Francis Donahue died on January 20, 1990, when he was 66 years old.
