BIOGRAPHY
 
When Cornelius W. Toner was born on July 28, 1897, in Benwood, West Virginia, his father, Frank, was 37 and his mother, Ellen, was 38. He married Hazel A. Hutchinson on September 12, 1928, in Valhalla, New York. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 20, 1978, in Millerton, New York, at the age of 81. In Rye his family lived at 61 Palisade Road. Cornelius enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Cornelius W Toner, 81, Millerton & White Plains, died Aug 20 at Salem Hills Health Related Facility.

Born in West Virginia on July 28, 1897, he was the son of William & Ellen McKelvey Toner. He was a resident of White Plains most of his life, and was a tree surgeon in Bronxville until his retirement 10 years ago.

He served in the US Army Air Force during WWII. He had been married to the late Alice H Hutchinson. Survived by a daughter, Jean DeWitt, Millerton; two grandsons, two great grandchildren. Harlem Valley Times, 24 Aug 1978
