Andrew T. Walsh was born in New York January 26, 1915 son Andrew Walsh and Mary Ryan Walsh. He had one brother John and a one sister Madeline. Locally his family lived at 19 Clark PL and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Andrew enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
