Andrew T. Gallagher

Andrew Thomas Gallagher was born on June 6, 1916, in Rye, New York, to Anne Dowdall, age 29, and Andrew Vincent Gallagher, age 24. In Rye his family lived at 6 Sanford St. and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Andrew attended local scools and before the war was working at Playland.

Andrew enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.



After the war he married Evelyn A Vancott on February 15,1947. They would have two children during their marriage.

Andrew worked locally as a restaurant manager.

The Family moved to St Petersburg, FL in 1980 from his native Rye, N.Y. He was a restaurant manager and a World War II Army veteran. Locally, he was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church.

Andrew T. Gallagher, 88, of St Petersburg, died Monday (Sept 13, 2004) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute.

At the time of his death, survivors included a son, Craig, a daughter, Ruth Pullen, a grandson, David A Gallagher, a granddaughter, Kristin M. Gallagher, and a great-granddaughter, Jacie Marrs, all of St Petersburg.
