Allan M Herrick was born in Pennsylvania in 1922. In Rye his family lived at 66 Milton Road and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Allan served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Ensign Allan M. Herrick. USNR, son of Mrs. Clarence Herrick of Blind Brook Lodge, received his degree in absentia with honors from Wesleyan University on June 24. His brothers ate also in the service, Carson is a flight officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Paul is a lieutenant j. g. in the United States Naval Reserve and hopes to put in on the West Coast in September Thomas Carnegie, 3rd. husband of the former Miss Florence Herrick, is flight instructor in the U. S. Air Force. Instructing French cadets at Montgomery, Ala Mrs. Carnegie is with him.

MRS. FLORENCE A. 1IERRICK CLEARWATER, April 7 (By Staff Writer) Mrs. Florence Ayer Herrick, 71, of the Yacht Basin Apts. apparently died in her car of natural causes yesterday in front of a Beach sundry store. She came here two years ago from Daytona Beach, where she had lived for several years after going there from Rye, N.Y. Survivors include three sons, Paul B. Herrick, Boston, Mass.; Allan M. Herrick, Norwich; and Carson P. Herrick, Ottawa, Canada: a daughter, Mrs. Thomas M. Carnegie. Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren.
