Bill Moslander
After Graduation from Rye High School in 1951, Bill joined the Navy where he served from 1951 - 1954. Bill was a radioman on a minesweeper.
His Lt. urged him to go to college, Bill went on to attend New Paltz college and graduated in 1958. He then taught school in the city of Poughkeepsie N.Y.
for 31 years, retiring in 1989.
Bill married Kathleen Early from Franklin Square Long Island in August 1959, they had 3 children.

New Paltz, NY - William "Bill" F. Moslander, age 78, of New Paltz died Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Vassar Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY
Born on September 28, 1933, in Rye, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick Moslander and the late Anna (Eisele) Maloney. He married Kathleen Early on August 30, 1959 in Franklin Square, LI, NY.
He has lived in New Paltz Since 1954, previously living in Rye, NY
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
For many years he was a fourth grade teacher in the Columbus and Clinton schools, in the Poughkeepsie City School System. He retired in 1989.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen (Early) Moslander, at home, he is survived by: daughters and son-in-laws, Liz and Dale Bennie of Moore, OK and Susan and Michael McClaren of East Aurora, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Maryann Moslander of Enfield, CT; and grandchildren, Casey, Jack, Luke McClaren, and Kellie and Jonathan Smyth; he is also survived by two sisters: Lillian Smith of New Port Richey, FL, Ann Coughlin of Rye, NY
Calling hours will be on Tuesday January 10, 2012 from 4:00pm-7:00 pm at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y. The Graveside service will take place on Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery, Plains Road, New Paltz with Rev. Bernard M. Maloney, O.F.M., Cap. Officiating. Burial will follow.
