William B. Taylor was born on November 18th, 1928 in California and moved to 265 Rye Beach Ave in Westchester, New York with his family. His parents were Matthew and Marion Taylor. He had two sisters named Jean and Patricia Taylor -- Jean being the oldest, Patricia being the middle, and William being the youngest. He graduated from Milton School in 1941 and attended Rye High School, graduating in 1946. He also attended college at Colgate University in New York in 1946, being one of 350 new freshman students. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts. In 1948, he took the role as an usher in Katherine Baxter and Captain Hugh Archer's wedding at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye. When the Korean War began, Taylor served in the U.S. Army. In 1951, he was able to operate a radio station in the south, now earning the title as a CPL.
