Only child of the late Mildred LaRussell Marino and the late Joseph Marino, he was born and raised in Rye, New York. He moved to Rye Brook in 1963 and moved to Smyrna, Delaware in 2007. He leaves behind his wife, Gaye Marino; daughter, Amanda DeHaan (Richard); and grandson, Clayton DeHaan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Tina Marino in 1994.
He was a Sergeant in the Korean War from 1952-1955 where he was a much decorated Marine and earned the Purple Heart. He worked for American Cyanamid from 1955-1965. He worked for the Univ. of Conn. Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT until 1987 as an Arboriculturist. His passions included hunting, fishing and hiking. He was a devout Yankees fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Mass at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester, NY. Internment at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, High Street, Rye Brook, NY.
