Richard H. Savage was born in Harrison, NY on the 22nd of November, 1931. Born to Mark Savage, a chauffeur, and Margaret Savage, he was one of 9 children. He later moved to 59 Florence Avenue, Rye NY, and joined Rye High school in Junior year. He quickly became involved in the athletic community, being both a part of the track and football teams, as well as being a member of the leadership club. He graduated class of 1950 and was described as "Good Looking...Good Fun...Good Guy." Following his graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean war. He later married Elizabeth Savage. He lived in Westchester county the rest of his life, passing away in Rye at the age of 83 on November 1st, 2015.
