BIOGRAPHY
 
Joseph Conlin

Joseph Conlin was born May 23, 1927, in Rye, N.Y. to Bernadetta Kavanaugh and Henry Conlin. In Rye his family lived on Dogwood Lane. He had two sisters Bernadette and Mary and two brothers Richard and Henry. The family were members of the Church of the Resurrection. before the war Joseph was working as a law clerk for the US Navigation Corp in the Whitehall Building in New York City.

Joseph enlisted in U.S. Navy on March 22, 1945 and served during World War II. He was awarded the Victory medal, the American Theatre Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Meda . He was honorably discharged July 7, 1946. View Discharge Records

He married Charlene Walterscheid on June 8, 1963, in Mountain View, Calif. Joseph held a bachelor's degree from Iona College in New York.

He was a general partner for Osler-Welch Medical Lab in San Leandro, Calif. Joseph enjoyed Dixieland jazz, history, poetry, sailing, his family and his faith. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in California.

A funeral Mass was celebrated March 11, 2006 at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church in Veneta, CA for Joseph John ''Joe'' Conlin, who died March 7, 2006 of age-related causes. He was 78.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife; and a son, Kevin of San Francisco.
