Herman Burger
Herman Burger was born in Hochperg, Germany on October 14 1907. He had a brother Otto Burger.
His family emigrated and lived in Union City, N. J.
Herman worked as a waiter at the Westchester Country Club and in Rye he lived at 195 Purchase Street. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army,
254th Signal OPN Company
during World War II.
The United States Army Signal Corps (USASC) is a branch of the United States Army that creates and manages communications and information systems for the command and control of combined arms forces.
Herman Burger, waiter at the Westchester Country Club, died July 24, 1946, apparently of a heart attack in his rented room at 195 Purchase Street, Rye. His age was : 38. Dr. Anthony Sisca pronounced the man dead. Native of Union City, N. J., the body was returned to that city yesterday by his brother.
