George R. Lowe was born in New York in 1926. In Rye his family lived on Elmwood Avenue,. George enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

The objective of this website is to create a biography for each veteran. On this page we have tried to provide as much information as possible but we need help filling in the blanks.

We are looking for information regarding these men and women including: Discharge Records, Pictures, Rye Address During the War and Branch of Service. We are also looking for the specific outfit in which they served, Example for Army: (K Company, 15th Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division).

In an effort to make this website interactive, scroll to the bottom of this page. This where you will find the "Write A Review" section. It is here for you to fill in missing information, correct inaccuracies and to add personal memories.

You can also Search The Old Rye Chronicle for information about this veteran, see instructions "Newpaper Article Links" tab. It is much easier than it reads, so give it a try. A lot of fun and can become addicting.

5 of 5 Information re George Lowe February 26, 2024
Reviewer: R Cullen Lowe from [email protected]
Thanks so much for posting this info about my Dad. I knew he lived in Rye, for a bit, but didn't know this site existed. I can fill in more blanks, if you like, but here's a couple things just off the top of my head:
His middle name was Edward, so his middle initial should be E, not R.
He was born in Mansfield, PA (his folks lived in Troy, PA).
Thanks,
Cullen Lowe
