 John E. Andresen
John Eastman Andresen was born on May 8, 1913, in Massachusetts, his father, John, was 25 and his mother, Nanny, was 35. He married Alice 'Lally' Farnsworth on November 30, 1935, when he was 22 years old. They would have two sons and two daughters. In Rye his family lived on Manursing Way. John enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He died on June 28, 1991, in Duxbury, Massachusetts, at the age of 78.
Lieut. Andresen, Commander In Pacific Gets Discharge
Lieut. John B. Andresen, U. S. N. R. , son of Mr. and Mrs. John C, Andresen of Manursing Way, has been released from duty, having served as commander of a patrol craft in the Pacific for the past two years. He was also a year in the Atlantic theatre of war operations, Lieut. Andresen and Mrs, Andresen were with his parents several days before they went to their home in Boston. They have three children.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Farns-worth, Jr., of Chestnut Hill, Mass., have announced the engRgement of their daughter, Miss Alice Farns-worth. to Mr. John E. Andresen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Andresen of New York. -Mss Farnsworth attended Miss May's School and made her debut in 1932. She is a member of the Vincent Club and the Junior League of Boston. Mr. Andresen was graduated from the Choate School in Wallingford in 1932. He attended Wesleyan University and Franklin and Marshall College and Is a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, the Ri-verton Country Club, and the Apa-wamis Club' in Rye. N. Y. Mr. Andresen is now associated with the John R. Evans Company of Camden. N. J. No date has been set for the wedding.
John E. Andresen, Headed Boston leather brokerage John E. Andresen, chief executive of the Andresen leather brokerage in Boston for 30 years until retirement in 1971, died yesterday his home in Duxbury. He was 78. Upon his retirement the brokerage, John Andresen & Co., by his great-grandfather, was liquidated. Born in Brookline, Mr. Andresen graduated from the Choate School 1932 and Wesleyan University 1936. During World War II served as a Navy commander skipper of submarine chasers in Philippines. He was a past commodore of Largo Anglers Club in Florida and member of The Country Club Brookline, Duxbury Yacht Club Ducks Unlimited. Mr. Andresen leaves his wife, Alice (Farnsworth); two daughters, Judy A. Paige of Marblehead Daphne A. Corcoran of Waterville Valley, NJJ.; two sons, Edward F. Osterville and John C. 2d of Kingston; eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be private.
