Johnson, J. Wesley

John Wesley Johnson was born in New Jersey in 1899. In Rye his family lived on Rye Beach Ave. John served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

Joined Coast Guard Reserve J. Wesley Johnson, Rye Beach Avenue, has joined the IT. S. Coast Guard Reserve and spent the past week at the Coast Guard Training Station at Manhattan Beach. His daughter, Dorothy, is returning Sunday from Madison, Conn. , where she visited her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Walter F, Pease. Friday, September 1, 1944 THE RYE CHRONICLE PAGE ELEVEN
