Rex C. Young
When Rex Cooney Young was born on July 15, 1920 in Portland, Oregon. His father, Guy, was 26 and his mother, Avis, was 28. He had one brother Richard.

In 1940 Rex and his family were living at 121-31 195 Street in New York, New York. Rex was 19 and Rihard was 15-years old. Rex's father was 46 and his mother was 46. Both of his parents had a college education and Rex was in college. The census worker recorded Rex's occupation as a Messenger in the cosmetics industry. In 1939, he earned $390 ($7,410 in today’s dollars) and worked 26 weeks of the year.

In Rye his family lived at 6 Hill Street. Rex enlisted 6 Nov 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged 16 Feb 1946. He died on August 3, 1980, in Santa Clara, California, at the age of 60.
