BIOGRAPHY
Jeremiah J. Wolfe was born in New Jersey in 1905. In Rye his family lived on Meadow Place. Jeremiah served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II.
JEREMIAH J. WOLFE
1ST Lt.
Jeremiah J. Wolfe, fifty-five, oi Setauket, L. I., died suddenly at his home, on Saturday evening.
He was vice-president of The Bank of New York with which he had been associated since 1925. Mr. Wolfe was born in Elizabeth, N. J. He attended Cooper Union Accounting School, was a graduate of American Institute of Banking and of the Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University.
During World War H, Mr. Wolfe served in the Southwest Pacific Area with the 532nd Regiment, Engineers, Boat and Shore Battalion. He was a Rye resident for eighteen years prior to moving to Long Island in 1950. He was a former member of the Rye Kiwanis Club.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife, Violet Bidwell Wolfe; his mother, Mrs. Anton Wolfe, and sister, Miss Jane Wolfe of Greenlawn L. I.
Funeral services were held Monday evening at Port Jefferson, and interment was in Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale on Wednesday morning.
