BIOGRAPHY
Arthur S. Walters was born in New York in 1906. In Rye his family lived at 60 Gapal St. and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Arthur enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
ARTHUR S. WALTERS SR. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester for Arthur Samuel Walters, Sr., of South Harwich, i Mass., who died Sunday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, Mass. Interment was private. A native of Rye, he was born Sept. 20, 1906, son of the late Ludwig and Donna Abrams Walters. He worked in the Rye Post Office for 37 years until his retirement 10 years ago. An Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Walters was a ' member of the National Federation of Postal Clerks and attended the Rye Presbyterian Church when he lived in Rye. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Pirina Walters: two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Zeh of Byram and Mrs. Priscilla Keller of Rye; a son, Arthur S. Walters Jr. of South; Glens Falls, N. Y.; three brothers,; Rudolph of New London, Conn.; I Frank of New Jersey and Lester of Port Chester; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Madole of California. Miss Viola Walter of Rye: Mrs. Mae Stiilson of Port Chester and Mrs. Dorothy Giordano of the Bronx; and three grandchildren.
