Giuseppe (Joseph) Victor Tropiano was born on May 25, 1910, in Port Chester, New York, his father, Antonio, was 27 and his mother, Amelia, was 26. He died on September 27, 2000, at the age of 90, and was buried at St Mary's Cemetary. In Rye his family lived at 16 Redfield Street . Joseph enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

PVT US ARMY WORLD WAR II

Joseph Tropeano, 90, of Rye, died September 27, 2000 at his home. Mr. Tropeano was a brick layer. He was born May 25, 1910 in Port Chester to Antonio and Emilia Fariello Tropeano.

On July 6, 1947 he married Maria Tropeano at Holy Rosary in Port Chester. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as an Army Engineer from 1942 to 1944. He was a member of Resurrection Church, Rye, NY.

He is survived by his wife Maria Tropeano, sons Anthony Tropeano and Angelo Salvatore Tropeano, daughter Emilia Tropeano, 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild, sisters Rose Sorbara and Mary Stranieri. He was predeceased by his father, mother, sisters Josephine Tropeano, Helen Tucci, Vera Paladino, and Anna Luzzi.
