James Trimarchi was born in New York in 1922. In Rye his family lived at 409 Mamaroneck Ave. James enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Edna Walker Geehan Trimarchi, Age 101, of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Lynchburg, VA surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late James P. Trimarchi and the late James Joseph Geehan, Sr.
Born on April 25, 1913, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Walker.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, James J. Geehan, Jr., and siblings, Arthur and Robert Walker, Evelyn Quinn, and Lillian Dwyer.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Whitehead, Edna Johnson and husband Phillip of Lynchburg
and Sara Egan and husband Tom of MD, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Edna was a retired telephone operator for C&P Telephone Co. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Evington, VA and a former member of Calverton Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD. Her loving and caring ways and warm sense of humor will forever brightened all the lives she touched.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at noon at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Evington, VA, with Pastor Scott Dean officiating. A memorial service will be held on Sat. April 25, 2015 at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church, 31 Kingston Rd. Evington, VA 24550.
