BIOGRAPHY
John P. Thomson was born in New York in 1922. In Rye his family lived at 155 Oakland Beach Avenue and were members of the Presbyterian Church. John enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Born July 20, 1922 in Rye to John P. and Julie Walker Thomson. John proudly served in the U. S. Army during WWII as a radio specialist, and was a member of the American Legion in Larchmont.
John P. Thomson, of Mamaroneck, passed away surrounded by his family on January 29, 2012 at age eighty-nine. Born July 20, 1922 in Rye to John P. and Julie (Walker) Thomson. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a radio specialist, and was a member of the American Legion in Larchmont. He also worked as a contract specialist for UOP for over thirty years. Survived by his cherished children Bonnie Lyn (Dennis) Cucinella of Mamaroneck and John Peter Thomson, Jr. of Hilton Head, SC; adoring grandchildren Dennis John (Lorraine Rodrigues) Cucinella of White Plains and Tara Lyn Cucinella of Brewster; and loving great-grandchildren Madison and Ryan. John is predeceased by his beloved wife Charlotte. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
