Paul P. Tamagno
Paul P. Tamagno was born February 11th, 1915 to parents Candido and Elizabeth Tamagno. Paul lived at 340 Midland Avenue in Rye, New York. with his Mother and Father. He was the only child and the family were parishioners of the Church of the Resurrection.
Paul’s father owned the family home, which was valued at $7,500 ($142,500 in today’s dollars). Paul graduated from Rye High School in 1934 with a number of titles to his name.
Paul was a member of the National Honors Society, member of the Stage Coach, Drama club, Orchestra, Q.V. Club, Le Cercle Francias, and a Football Manager. After graduation he worked as a sales clerk at a store.
Paul registered for the WWII Draft on October 16th, 1940 and was enlisted into the United States Army on April 20th, 1942.Paul Served in the United States Army, as a 1st Lt throughout his time in the military.
After the war was over, Paul worked as an auditor for Chemical Bank in New York, retiring in 1979. He had been an acclaimed tenor, singing in choirs and off-broadway productions.
He lived in Fort Lee, Bergen, NJ where he would live out the rest of his days. He was a parishioner of Madonna R.C. Church, where he served as an usher.
He was a member of UNICO, the Red Cross, and the Italian Association, all in Fort Lee. He passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2000, he was survived by several cousins.
A Funeral Mass was held at Madonna Church, Whiteman St., Ft. Lee. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Chester, NY.

PAUL TAMAGNO, 84, of Fort Lee died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1979, he was an auditor for Chemical Bank, New York City. He was a parishioner of Madonna R.C. Funeral Friday 10 AM from the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Ave., Ft. Lee. Funeral Mass 11 AM at Madonna Church, Whiteman St., Ft. Lee. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Chester, NY. Friends will be received Thurs day 2-6 PM.
