BIOGRAPHY
John H. Mockler
John H. Mockler was born August 22. 1925, in New York City to Martin Mockler and Helen Torrence Mockler. In Rye his family lived on Forrest Avenue and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. His mother died in 1936 when he was eleven years old. His father died in 1941 whe John was just sixteen. John enlisted March 19, 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After the war he was employed at the Westchester Country Club for many years. John never married.
John Henry Mockler, thirty-five, died Thursday January, 21,1960
in an upstate hospital after an illness of one year.
A requiem mass was held at the Church of the Resurrection. Interment was at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Mr. Mockler was born August 22. 1925, in New York City. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was unmarried.
At the time of his death he was suevived by his grandfather, Martin Mockler Sr. of Rye, and three brothers, Martin and Joseph of Armonk Village, Robert of South Salem.
