Alexander J. Mainero

Alexander J. Mainero was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Rye to Lorenzo and Christine DeMurro Mainero. He had three sister Jennie, Lucy and Rose and a brother Philip. In Rye his family lived at 41 High St and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Alexander was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1936.

He enlisted on April 15, 1942, in New York City, New York, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was 26 years old. Alexander was a private first class in the Army Medical Corps. He was honorably discharged June 7, 1945

On Aug 19, 1945, Alexander married Rose T. Tedesco in Rye. He was a salesman for William Smith Supplies in Armonk, retiring 1978. He was a member of the Rye Golf Club. In 1979, Alexander moved to Aurora, CO. where he was a member of the Heather Ridge Bowling League.




Alexander Joseph. Mainero of Aurora, Colo, a retired industrial supriies salesman and former Rye resident, died Oct 10, 1996 at Aurora Presbyterian Hospital. He was 80.

At the time of his death, in addition to his wife; Mr. Mainero is survived by a daughter, Carol McBride of Aurora; two sons, Alan of Boulder, CO., and Lawrence of Evergreen, CO; two sisters, Jean Verille and Rose Russo; both of Rye; and six grandchildren.
