Ernest M. Langeloh

Ernest M. Langeloh was born in Port Chester on Jan 19 1919 to R Fred and Jennie Mead Langeloh. He had two sisters Mildred and Helen. In Rye his family lived at 39 Brookdale Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Ernest attended Rye public schools. and was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1937.

He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After the war Ernest was a bartender at various bars in Rye He was an exempt member of the Milton Point Engine and Hose Co of the Rye Fire Department and a member of the Old Timers Association of Port Chester He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Rye.

Ernest Mead Langeloh a retired bartender and lifelong Rye resident died of heart failure yesterday at United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester He was 71

At the time of his death he was survived by a daughter Dorothy West of Byram Conn. a son Richard Langeloh of south Norwalk Conn a sister Millie Nendel of Rye and one grandchild. A sister Helen Lalla died earlier.
