Allan Everard was born on February 11, 1924, in Rye, New York, his father, Walter, was 43 and his mother, Alyce, was 30. In Rye his family lived at 355 Milton Road and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Allan was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1943. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Allan served as a sergeant with the 718th Bombing Squadron flying missions over Europe in a B-24 Liberator.
The squadron assembled at its combat station, Grottaglie Airfield in Southern Italy, in early January 1944, from which it operated primarily on strategic bombing missions. It attacked oil refineries, communications centers, aircraft factories and industrial facilities in Italy, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Albania and Greece. Allan's squadron was awarded two a Distinguished Unit Citation (DUC)
The Presidential Unit Citation (PUC), originally called the Distinguished Unit Citation, is awarded to units of the uniformed services of the United States, and those of allied countries, for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy. The unit must display such gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions so as to set it apart from and above other units participating in the same campaign.
 On one mission Allan's plane was shot down and he was forced to bailout. Luckily, the plane had made it to neutral Switzeland where Allan was intered. Allan was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal for his service.
After the war, Allan was honorably discharged October 31,1945 and returned home. He continued his studies and was graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami Law School. Allan had been a resident of the Palm Beach area since 1963.
 He served as Town Attorney for the Town of Palm Beach Shores; Village Prosecutor, Village of Royal Palm Beach; City Attorney for the City of South Bay; City Prosecutor, City of ''Belle Glade; City Prosecutor, City of Riviera Beach.
 For many years, Allan had been active in Civil Defense. He was a member of the Moose ' Lodge 2010, Palm Beach Gardens; B.P.O.E. 2069, North Palm Beach; a member of the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee; and the Rotary Club of Riviera Beach.
Allan Vincent Everard, 67 yean old. of Palm Beach Shores, Fla., passed away on Saturday, November 9, 1991. at a local hospital after a brief illness.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Laude Everard of Plro Beach Shores, Fla. ; three daughters, Alice M. Everard, Anita M. Everard, and Amy M. Everard,'all of New Orleans. La.; his son, Allan Everard, Jr. and his wife. Kim of Juno Beach; a brother, Walter Everard of Bowie, Md.; one grandchild; and several 'nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, November 12, 1991 at St Ann's Catholic Church, West Palm Beach.
Internment with full military honors was held on Thursday, November 14, 1991 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
