Henry Eggers was born in New Jersey in 1889. In Rye his family lived at 99 Captains Lane and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Henry served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Miss Hazel Edna Healy's Engagement Announced. Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Healy of 973 Park Place, Brooklyn, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Hazel Edna Healy, to Mr, Henry Eggers,, Jr., of Manhattan. Mr. Eggers is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eggers of 326 West Eighty-seventh Street, Manhattan. Miss Healy has been connected as an active worker with the American Red Cross, Atlantic Division .for Civil Relief. Her fiance served as a first lieutenant of infantry in the U.S. Army.

Henry Eggers Commissioned Captain in Military Police Henry Eggers, Jr. , of Captains Lane, Greenhaven, Rye, has received a Commission as Captain in the Corps of Military Police, and will leave today for Governors Island. Captain Eggers served in the last World War, and was a Mounted Scout stationed at the Mexican border, in 1916. A member of the 7th Regiment for 10 years, Captain Eggers was sent from this regiment to the Officers Training School, Plattsburg, wT here he received his commission as Second Lieutenant in 1917 and a year later was commissioned First Lieutenant.
