BIOGRAPHY
Joseph M. Dilonardo
Joseph M. Dilonardo was born December 17, 1921 in Italy to the late Luigi and Carmella DiLonardo. he had three sisters Lena, Mary and Jean. Joseph was raised and educated in Rye, NY. His family lived at
339 Midland Ave
and we members of the Church of the Resurrection.
Before the war Joseph was employed by The Empire Brush Works In Port Chester.
Joseph enlisted and served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
Joseph was married September 19, 1948 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester to Cosima ''Clara'' Briganti. They would have one son during their marriage.
He was a retired employee of Arnold's Bakery in Greenwich, CT. After his retirement he was a school crossing guard for the Rye Brook Schools.
Joseph was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. He enjoyed spending time with his son at the Mellor Engine and Fire Company in Port Chester.
Joseph M. DiLonardo died October 22, 2004. He was 82.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Clara DiLonardo, son Louis DiLonardo, grandsons Joseph and Mario DiLonardo, all of Port Chester, NY, sister Mary Storezinger of Norwalk, CT. He was predeceased by his sisters, Lena Lind and Jean Storezinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Entombment followed at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
