BIOGRAPHY
Donald A. Fraser was born in New York in 1912. In Rye his family lived on Kirby Lane. Donald enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
SGT US ARMY AIR CORPS WORLD WAR II
Donald Fraser (Pop to his family) was born on June 19, 1912 in Bedford NY.
He grew up in Rye NY. He served in WWII as an airplane mechanic then worked for Beech Nut for many years until he took early retirement in the 1960's. He moved to Florida in 1968 with his wife Marge who he married in 1942. They had two kids, Donna and James Fraser.
I am his grandaughter Pam Kandefer-Povlin. (Donna's daughter.) He called me his ''Bambino.'' He was the sweetest, funniest, kindest man I have ever known. He was a grandpa and a best friend all rolled into one. I miss him dearly and thank God for every day I had with him. I will always remember his funny stories and that smile that lit up like the sun. I love you Pop! I still play White Christmas for you every year. I will never forget you.
