John Minniti was born in New York in 1914. In Rye his family lived at 205 South Regent Street, Port Chester. John enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He waa 83 and lived in Ijtorth Fort Myer Fla J He waa bora in September 1913 to John and Anna Melillo Minniti in Port Chester where he grew up and attended schools Me lived in Greenwich for 45 years before moving to Florida 12 yean' ago when he retired For year he ran a eommer- ijial fishing boat out of Port Chester harbor
He later waa captain of the Delmar a charter fishing boat out of Greenwich ) Mr Minniti was the grandson df Felix Melillo of Port Chester a local active tivte and political activist j ex-coftunerdal fisherman 1948 in Rye
During World War II he served in the US Army stationed In England and was in the military police in Miami He married Angelica Delibovi - Mr Minniti waa active in bowling leagues in Greenwich and Florida
In addition to his wife Mr Minniti la survived by two son Donald Minniti of Lake Worth FUl and John Minniti III of Trumbull Conn a daughter Laur-Aim Lubrano of Stratford -Conn a lister Frances Minniti Graziand of Lake Worth Fla and six grandchildren Three brother Domenlck Phillip and Anthony died earlier Mr Minniti was cremated in Florida
