BIOGRAPHY
Stanley E. Billington was born in New York in 1910. In Rye his family lived at 5 School Street. Stanley enlisted and served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Stanley E. Billington, 56, of 125 Wappanocca Avenue, died suddenly Tuesday morning at United Hospital. He was born in Rye, December 2, 1910, son of the late Arthur and Helen Evans Billington. Mr. Billington was a graduate of Rye schools and the University of New Mexico. He was a member of the Rye Presbyterian Church and was in the Air Force in World War II. Mr. Billington had lived in Santa Monica Calif., and was production manager at M. G. M. Studios in Hollywood for 20 years. He returned to Rye six years ago and was associated with Billington Motor Co. Inc. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Dolores T. Billington of the home address and two daughters, Barbara and Patricia Billington of New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Sydney J. McBride of Rye and Mrs. John B. Cox of North Stamford and one brother, Kenneth A. Billington of Rye. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home Inc., 17 Purdv Avenue.
