H. EDWARD PATTERSON
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Christ's Church for H. Edward Patterson of Lavender Lane, who died Saturday morning of heart disease at Greenwich Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 2nd. Interment was private.
Mr. Patterson, who was vice president of Howne and Company of New York, Inc., financial printers, had lived in Rye since 1960. He was a member of Christ's Church. He was born Sept. 18, 1929 in Greenville, S. C, son Mrs. Douglas R. Patterson of Lockport, N. Y. Mr. Patterson was a graduate of Ridley College in St. Catharine's, Ontario, Cornell University in Ithaca, N. Y, and Babson College, Wellesley, Mass. A member of the American Yacht Club, he was also a member of India House in New York City, the Bond Club of New York, the Investment Association of New York, and St. Andrew's Society of New York.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Hurlburt Patterson; two daughters, Amy Carnall Patterson, and Sara Hurlburt Patterson, both students at Rye Country Day School; a brother, Eugene F. Patterson of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four sisters, Mrs. William H. Hooper of Lockport, N. Y., Mrs. G. Edward Hoyle of Niagara Falls, N. Y., Mrs. William J. Cochrane of Buffalo, N. Y., and Mrs. John Parker of Rochester, N. Y.
