Frederick J. Kelley III was born on June 11, 1927 to Frederick Kelly II and Julia Stone. He was an only child and lived on 487 Milton Road with his parents. During high school he served in student government as the class treasurer and was a member of the Stamp Club. He graduated from Rye High School in 1945 and immediately entered the US navy. There he would rise to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and serve his country proudly during World War II, the Korean war, and in Vietnam until his discharge in 1978. He would go on to marry Eileen Kelley and have three children, Kathleen, Maureen and Frederick IV. He died at the age of 73 on December 27, 2000 in Pensacola, Florida.
