Joseph A. Minniti
Larchmont - Joseph A. Minniti, formerly of Larchmont, passed away peacefully at his home in Ossining on May 20, 2018. He was 89. Joe was born in Rye on October 25, 1928, the son of Joseph F. and Santa (Surace) Minniti.
He was a distinguished graduate of St. Lawrence University (class of '52), where he studied literature and poetry, and of Syracuse University College of Law (class of '57). Joe practiced law - his profession, passion and hobby - in the Village of Mamaroneck for over 50 years, beloved by clients and colleagues and respected by peers. He was a proud lifelong Yankees fan, a Frank Sinatra aficionado, and loved nothing more than a good (or bad) joke.
A loyal and generous family man, Joe will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Kathleen (Steven Beasley) and son Gerald, and his adored grandchildren, Will and Kate Beasley and Max and Evan Minniti. Joe was predeceased by his brothers Dom and Fred and his sisters Polly Mertz and Norma Chiarappa. Joe is survived by his sisters Tina Izzo, Marcia Greenbaum, Patty Grubbs, and Joanne Minniti, numerous nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Suzanne W. Minniti.
