John Blumenthal was born in Minnesota in 1930. As a young child, he moved to Rye, NY where his address was 4 Pine Lane. He lived with his parents, Irving and Lina, as well as his younger sister Jane. Additionally, his family's maid, Kathleen Callahan, lived with them. Before the war, as a young child, John not only had a strong relationship with his family but was extremely active in the Rye Community.
