SPRYE (Staying Put in Rye and Environs) - Board member and volunteer driver. SPRYE is an “ageing in place“ (AIP) organization to aid older residents to continue to live comfortably in their homes as long as possible while remaining active in their communities.
In our retirement we enjoy traveling, especially on river boats, in the US, Europe and Asia. This enhances my enjoyment of photography.
I am always available to enhance the SPRYE mission and to make the other seniors I work with feel like one happy family in volunteer driving, social functions and in many other ways to help SPRYE pursue their goals.
I am most proud in my working career to take a product (Pop Rocks) from the laboratory bench top and commercialize it to a national test market.
In my retirement I am proud to volunteer and give back and assist Seniors within SPRYE, The Senior Advocate Committee and Rye Seniors to enjoy life and prosper within our community. After all, our Seniors are the ones responsible for getting our local community in the envious position it is in now.
It really gives me great satisfaction when a Senior comes up to me and in a very sincere way, thanks me for the services given.
