Gerald was inducted into the army 10/5/65 at Ft. Jackson, S.C. and went to Ft. Gorden, Ga. for basic training. He subsequently went on to Ft. Ord, Cal. for radio operators school. Gerald was then assigned to I Field Force Headquarters in Na Trang and was later assigned to a liaison team with the 9th Korean Infantry Division in Nin Hoa.

Gerald served there for 14 months and then returned to Ft. Lewis, WA for discharge.

I was inducted into the army 10/5/65 at Ft. Jackson, S.C., then went to Ft. Gorden, Ga. for basic training. I then went to Ft. Ord, Cal. for radio operators
school. I was the assigned to I Field Force Headquaters in Na Trang. I
