George J. Graham was born in New York in 1920. In Rye, his family lived at 37 Redfield St. and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. George was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1938. According to his high school yearbook, George Graham played football and baseball. He also participated in the Drivers' Club, Finger Printing Club, and the Athletic Club. Outside of school, Graham took great part in the Church of the Resurrection; he was a member of the Dad's Club, the Milton Engine and Hose Co. He also was a past president of the Rye Boating Association and a member of the Rye Fish and Game Club. He was married to Alice Kenny and had three daughters: Cecilia, Margaret and Marian. Graham proudly enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
